Common Name: Boat lily
Botanical Name: Tradescantia spathacea
This is one of the plants on the interesting side, also called the Moses in a boat or Moses in a cradle, because of the way it’s little white flowers lie as if they are cradled in it’s long leaves. It is also called the oyster plant because it is said that it’s roots taste like oysters. This can be an excellent groundcover plant and can add a sea of colour to the garden.
