Cuphea are popular ornamental plants or honey plants. It can grow up to 2 m (6 ft 7 in) tall. Because of the vivid colors of the flower, they give a great appeal to the garden. The small but abundant flowers in the plant with their vivid colors and sweet honey make them absolutely irresistible to hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Cuphea is tropical evergreen shrub. It does not tolerate extreme heat or cold. It does well inside the house near the windows. It requires moderate watering. Once established, the plant may no longer require frequent watering, and it even becomes tolerant to drought.
