This is an evergreen plant variety that can grow from about 1 to 6 metres in height, ranging from a shrub to tree. It is a very good ornamental plant that can be maintained with little to no effort. It is also an excellent hedge plant. It originates from Southeast Asia, and is widespread in the tropical areas. It is considered to be a food plant and one with medicinal properties, though it is not advisable to ingest.
