Indian Laurel tree is one of the native species that has been known since prehistoric times for its wood in shipbuilding. It grows in massive sizes and is popularly used in building huge ships and wood-based buildings. It is also called mastwood and can grow up to 25 metres in height. It would require minimal maintenance as it only has to be fed with fertilizer and watered.
